Jane Austen’s ‘Emma’ is an opinionated, outspoken, meddling, precocious busy body! Sarah Nealis who is cast as ‘Emma’ brings her character to life and keeps the audience full of laughter.
Jane Austen’s Romantic Comedy ‘Emma’ by Artistic Director Michael Bloom has a run of show through March 21st at Cleveland Play House at 85th and Euclid.
In ‘Emma’ she plots to find a husband for her friend Harriet. One suitor falls head over heels for ‘Emma’. Then in a twist ‘Emma’ is swept off her feet by another suitor she is pursuing, who in turn falls for Harriet in this hilarious stage adaptation by Michael Bloom.
Director Peter Amsher weaves this romantic comedy into a production that is funfilled entertainment that any family will enjoy!
The adaptation of ‘Emma’ portrays Jane Austen’s satirical style from the opening act to the closing where ‘Emma’ eventually realizes her true love, Mr. Knightley, played by Mark l. Montgomery is the one person who has been her antagonist through out the entire play.
The seasoned cast is colorful and witty!
Michael Bloom’s stage adaptation pays homage to the Great American Author Jane Austen.
