File this one under “bummer.” Due to scheduling conflicts — the catchall cop out reason of the season — Jay-Z has been forced to cancel the remainder of his 2009 ‘Blueprint 3′ tour. The cancellation lacks specific reasoning at this point, but Hov has promised refunds to fans for all shows involved.

As we saw last month with Jay’s World Series performance, these scheduling conflicts usually result in something awesome when all is said and done.

According to Live Nation, the remaining shows include dates this week in Lubbock, Texas, Albuquerque, N.M. and El Paso, Texas. While this is bad news for our Southwest brethren, Jay should make it up to them eventually.

In better news, the second leg of the tour, featuring the unstoppable Young Jeezy, will remain on schedule for 2010. The tour – which has relentlessly promoted Hov’s latest chart-topper and DJ Hero: Renegade Edition – will now resume on February 22 in Houston, TX at the Toyota Center. Jeezy opens all dates, which went on sale Friday on Livenation.com.

Finally, the “Entertainment2U” twitter feed is reporting that Hov will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on Dec. 19 with Alicia Keys and Mr Hudson. That implies we’ll get the blockbuster ‘Empire State of Mind’ and the cringe worthy high school anthem ‘Young Forever.’ Yankees captain Derek Jeter is slated to host, so we’ll all tune in anyway.
