Max’nOut Entertainment Exclusive Interview with New York Actress & Model, Tina Lee Jones!
Manifested dreams may be an opportunity away, but the steps we take to make that dream a reality will always be a journey.

Tina Lee Jones, an actress, model and voiceover professional in New York City shared her journey of faith, boldness and perseverance with Max’nOut Entertainment. She is taking the entertainment industry by storm and making her mark in the world. Join us in learning more about this rising star.
MXO Entertainment: Tina, thank you for taking time to interview with us.
Tina Lee Jones: It’s my pleasure. Thank you for having me.
MXO Entertainment: Tell us about your journey of becoming an actress.
Tina Lee Jones: Okay! I am Tina Lee Jones, originally from Houston, Texas and I am an actress living in New York City. I entered this industry because I knew it was something I really wanted to do and I did not want to wait around for it to happen. In life, if you want something bad enough you have to go after it.
(Coming from Texas to New York, Tina Lee Jones took a job working for Tony Bennett at RPM Music. She also worked with Russell Simmons and became the Executive Assistant to Dr. Benjamin Chavis at the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network.)
MXO Entertainment: Many people say they want the glamour of being an actress or actor in New York or LA, they go after it and fail. What has been your biggest challenge during this process?
Tina Lee Jones: Great question! In a dream I had as a little girl, “No matter what you go through in life, there is nothing I won’t bring you through.” This path is not for the faint at heart. You have to be bold and have faith in yourself. Tapping into the belief that I will overcome any situation no matter how challenging it is helps me through every stage of this process of becoming an actress and model. Stability can be a big challenge. I remember many times I had to sleep in my car, but in those times I reminded myself that things will get better and to keep going. I have an apartment now and things are fine, but I still encounter challenges in other areas.
MXO Entertainment: You talked about being bold and assertive. If you could, take a second to tell us about your experience on the Wendy Williams Show.
Tina Lee Jones: Wendy Williams has a segment on her show called Hot Topics and I decided to comment on the topic of the day. She asked my name and I said, “It’s Tina Lee Jones,” I answered the question, identified myself as an actress and started promoting my project. Google me! Again, in this business you have to be bold and get your name out there. You have to network, attend parties and be where people can connect with who you are and what you have to offer.
MXO Entertainment! Promoting yourself on Wendy Williams show….that IS bold. Where do you get your assertiveness from?
Tina Lee Jones: My grandmother! My grandmother is the kind of woman who is not afraid to say anything to anyone. I get that from her and you definitely need it in this business.
MXO Entertainment: We got it! So, what projects are you working on now?
Tina Lee Jones: I just completed filming for my lead role in “My Obsessed Tenant.” Though I have steady projects, it is also important for me to consistently audition and network.
MXO Entertainment: What advice would you give to other aspiring actors and actresses who want to break into this industry?
Tina Lee Jones: Do your research and have faith in yourself. Sometimes things will be hard because entertainment period is such a competitive field, but if you have a passion for it you will find your place.
MXO Entertainment: Thank you Tina for your time.
Tina Lee Jones: It was my pleasure.
