Andy Diggle is one of the most treasured contemporary sci-fi comics writers, and Warner Bros., who undoubtedly learned a series of lessons from the non-event that was the Watchmen, has outfitted the characters from Eisner nominated espionage series with a cast cultivated for crossover appeal (though, yes, we think it’s curious to have Jeffrey Dean Morgan in another comics adaptation). And there’s the odd/cool couple of director Sylvain White (Stomp the Yard) and screenwriter Peter Berg (The Kingdom), who is more familiar with the genre.
